A Covington, Louisiana native, Suzanne earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art from Southeastern Louisiana College in Hammond in 1967. Following graduation, she joined Shell Oil Company in New Orleans where she was a graphic artist/designer/supervisor for 18 years. She finished her career with five years in Houston in a Graphics supervisory capacity.
Continuing her creative studies at evening art classes at Tulane University College in the late 1960s and early 70s, she participated in many group shows and had two successful solo exhibits at uptown New Orleans galleries. Photography, house renderings, silkscreen posters, pottery and etchings were other creative pursuits in the 1980s. During this time, she participated in numerous exhibits, both local and regional, winning several awards.
After retiring from Shell in 1991, Suzanne taught art at the expatriate community school for nearly three years in Shekou, China. After traveling extensively during the 90s and exploring numerous art forms over the ensuing years, she has returned to drawing and mixed media/collage pieces combined with elements of graphics, a favorite form of artistic expression. A 10-year member of the now closed Fort Isabel Gallery and long time member of St. Tammany Art Association, she also serves on the board of the Covington Business Association. Suzanne is now represented by Three Rivers Gallery in Covington.
